| My entire life has been a spiritual journey--music & God inter-related. God made me a musician & I have accepted that. Music has taken me everywhere I have been in this world & in the spiritual world, a journey through laughter & tears, mountains & valleys, heaven & hell. Jeanne & I searched for a place with a deep spiritual atmosphere where we could be at peace & be part of a family. We have found that place at the Church of the Messiah. And I am inviting you to come explore this community & see if it is what you are looking for as well. Church of the Messiah (non-denominational) is a 26 acre campus in development just a few miles north of us in the North Georgia foothills. These people claim to realize that life is about a call, a purpose, and a vision. And they are inviting others to come & grow with them, to find "shelter" here. This church is pastored by Fred Goodwin, a former US Navy pilot. The numerous ministries within the umbrella of the Church of the Messiah are coordinated by Kathleen Harrison. The care of the church is overseen by our board of directors. On our campus we also have an educational ministry, the "Messiah Christian Academy", directed by Jill Goodwin. We also host a "bread" ministry. We have people & stories, and the "bridges" that connect them. I have the privilege of leading the worship here and pastoring a great band comprised of world-class musicians & singers who are excellent at their craft & transparent in their worship: people like Preston Samford, Spencer Kirkpatrick, David Hewitt, Wynn Miller, Keith Cresap, Sherry Gilbert, Daniel & Kathleen Harrison, Robert MacKenzie, Becky Thames, Russell Perry, Wade Marshall, and of course my wife Jeanne and me (Frank French). We are a team--we cry & laugh, sing & play, give thanks & pray together. Come check us out...Sunday mornings at 10am, Wednesday evenings at 6pm with dinner served first & all sorts of classes, groups, and our music rehearsals conducted after. Maybe there's a home for you here. |
